Need some help?

Here’s some more info to make your switch as stress-free as possible.

Switching your broadband is a pretty big deal, but because our network is brand-new and independent you can go live with us alongside your current service, to try before you buy!

It saves you the headache of lining up a same-day switch-over, and when you’re happy you can give notice on your current service. Bye-bye BT!

Another great reason to switch! There’s no charge to get installed, even if you’re a business, and our engineers bring all the equipment with them. You’ll get a xxx Wi-Fi 6 router included too.

All we ask is that if you leave us, you give our equipment back.

You’ll need to be around to meet our engineers, they’ll make sure you’re happy with the route our fibre will take on the outside of your property and where it will come in.

  • Think about where you would like your new fibre connection to enter your home. Our team can help you decide on the day if you’re unsure.
  • We’ll need to drill a small hole to feed the cable through your wall, but we’ll clean up and seal it once complete.
  • You’ll need two spare plug sockets close to the fibre entry point to power your broadband router and new connection box (ONT).
  • Please make sure someone over the age of 18 is at home for the installation, as we’ll need to come into your home to install and check the connection.

Follow these steps to set-up your router.

You can set up your Wi-Fi username and password using your mobile or your laptop.

You’ll have the option to set up guest Wi-Fi if you need it after step 8.

Mobile phone

  1. Go to the internet browser on your phone
  2. Search for ADTRAN Network, it should take you to a router page
  3. Select ‘Set up a new Intellifi device’
  4. Click ‘Next’ through the Router mode and Access Point mode screens
  5. Select the ‘Router’ option
  6. Click ‘Next’
  7. Select ‘No Intellifi mode’
  8. Enter a username and password for your Wi-Fi network then select ‘Continue’
  9. Check the details and confirm

Laptop

  1. Connect an Ethernet cable from the big white router to your laptop
  2. Open your internet browser
  3. Where you write www. type in 192.168.0.1, it should take you to a router page
  4. ‘Set up a new Intellifi device’
  5. Select the ‘Router’ option
  6. Click ‘Next’
  7. Select ‘No Intellifi mode’
  8. Enter a username and password for your Wi-Fi network then select ‘Continue’
  9. Check the details and confirm

Connect your devices

Connect up all your devices to your new Fastr Wi-Fi and do a speed test to see what a difference it’s made!

We’re working on bringing in a phone service which will run on our broadband connections (also known as VoIP - Voice over Internet Protocol).

It’s the way all our home or business phones will need to work as Openreach are working towards switching off their copper network.

You’ll need to pay by Direct Debit, and we’ll ask you to set this up with us before we arrange your install. We bill monthly, in advance, and we’ll collect your first months’ payment once your install has been completed.

We offer one contract length of 24 months as standard. Your price will be fixed for the length of your contract, and we’ll be in touch when it’s time to renew.

If you have a problem affecting your broadband service, your router, or you’ve lost connection then please let us know asap and we’ll fix it.
