Case Study: Wild & Westbrooke
Wild & Westbrooke is a family run, quality fashion store which has been running for over five years. Their physical store moved to Stonegate, one of York’s most historic streets in 2022, quickly becoming a much-loved York independent.
The business has always relied on broadband to support its activities, with everything from its tills to CCTV and music, requiring a strong and resilient internet connection that could handle multiple devices. However, like many other stores in York city centre, they were faced with slow and unreliable broadband and were constantly trying to switch providers.
Being in a historic building added to the complexities of getting full fibre broadband into the premises. According to owner Laura Stirk, Fastr Broadband came around just at the right time and resolved their Wi-Fi woes!
After a carefully coordinated install, taking into consideration the historic premises and using existing infrastructure, the business soon saw the impact of their newly-improved, speedy broadband. With drop-outs and lagging being issues of the past, they are instantly able to upload images to their website and share content across their social channels, boosting online sales.
Laura said: “Joining Fastr Broadband has been a breath of fresh air! From the very beginning, the team went above and beyond to ensure that we could get the connection we desperately needed. It has made such a huge difference to our business and I have been recommending Fastr Broadband and fibre to everyone!!”
